According to the latest report, Nikon officially released the Nikkor Z 800mm f/6.3 VR S lens, priced at USD 6986, and will be available in May. Officially, the NIKKOR Z 800mm f/6.3 VR S has a focal length of up to 800mm in the NIKKOR Z mount lens.

Moreover, it is a lens with Fresnel phase (PF) lenses in the NIKKOR Z series. The f/5.6E FL ED VR is about 48% lighter and about 16% shorter in length. Not only can it be shot handheld or with a monopod, but it also allows users to shoot wild birds and mountain wildlife with relatively lightweight gear, reducing the burden of long shooting and carrying.

Furthermore, the NIKKOR Z 800mm f/6.3 VR S belongs to the S-type lens series that pursues advanced optical performance. In addition to Fresnel phase (PF) lenses, low-dispersion (ED) glass and blue high-refractive (SR) lenses are used to effectively compensate for chromatic aberration, reduce color bleeding, and accurately render even the fine feathers of distant wild birds.

The adoption of Nano Crystal Coat and the optimization of the shape and position of the Fresnel Phase (PF) lenses also help to significantly reduce ghosting and achieve sharper images.

In addition, since the center of gravity of the NIKKOR Z 800mm f/6.3 VR S is closer to the camera side, it is suitable for shooting moving objects such as airplanes, and even if you turn the lens during panning, you don’t have to worry too much about the weight of the lens.
