Intel and Lenovo jointly developed new Yoga 9i notebook

At this year’s CES, Lenovo announced the new Yoga 9i notebook, equipped with a 12th generation Core processor, using a new design language. According to an article on Intel’s official website, Intel and Lenovo have jointly developed the new Yoga 9i notebook.

Intel says the biggest breakthroughs in computing are the result of creative collaborations between people from different fields of study, disciplines, cultures, and viewpoints. It is this collaborative approach that underpins the development of the Lenovo Yoga 9i powered by 12th Gen Intel Core processors, the Yoga 9i is the result of a joint effort by dozens of engineers at Intel and Lenovo, who share the goal of reimagining what laptops can do.

To ensure the hardware, software and chips are optimally combined, the two teams work together in a joint venture laboratory to achieve the ultimate goal. Together, the team achieved technical and methodological consistency, as well as a unified design and performance tuning process. Chips, drivers, and firmware are optimized for maximum power and performance.

According to Intel, the Yoga 9i not only provides a breakthrough PC experience but also helps set future benchmarks and helps validate optimal tuning methods.The Yoga 9i model is equipped with a 14-inch screen, optional 4K (3,840 x 2,400, 16:10 aspect ratio) touch OLED panel, peak brightness of 400 nits, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage ; 2.8K (2,880 x 1,800) resolution and 1,920 x 1,200 resolution LCD screen are also available.

In terms of specifications, the Yoga 9i will be powered by Intel Core i5-1240P and Core i7-1260P, with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB of solid-state storage. In terms of battery life, the 75Wh battery is expected to power the LCD version for up to 20 hours and the 2.8K/4K version for 14/13 hours. Lenovo says it can be fully charged in two hours.

In terms of interfaces, the Yoga 9i is provided with a USB Gen3.2 Type-A, two Thunderbolt 4, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Lenovo says the Yoga 9i is the world’s first laptop with a Bowers and Wilkins speaker system tuned by Dolby Atmos and starts at $1,399.
