Apple Watch still accounts for 70% of Japan’s wearable device

According to the report, in the fourth quarter of 2021, the total shipments of wearable devices in Japan were 2.52 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 6.7%. However, for the whole year of 2021, the total shipments of wearable devices in Japan reached 8.03 million units, a year-on-year increase of 6.6%.

Moreover, Apple shipped 1.8 million units in the fourth quarter of 2021, accounting for 71.5% of total shipments, down 2.8 percentage points from the same period last year.
