MediaTek plans to invest NT$9 billion in office building

According to the latest report, MediaTek announced that it would increase its capital by NT$10 billion to set up a 100% subsidiary, Xuyuan Investment, for the signing of development and operation contracts and the purchase of relevant land use rights, as well as for related construction and working capital.

At the same time, MediaTek announced that it has obtained the land use right of Land No. 2, Shixing Section, Zhubei City, Hsinchu County. It is reported that the land is located near the Hsinchu Biomedical Park.

MediaTek has obtained land-use rights for 70 years and plans to invest 9 billion yuan to build an office building and create a new landmark near the Hsinchu high-speed rail station. The relevant Taiwan authorities stated that MediaTek is scheduled to invest about 9 billion yuan in the development.

With the concept of “city sharing, urban green axis, urban convergence, and urban low carbon”, this case has become a landmark of a technology city. The investment promotion project is expected to bring 3,000 job opportunities and drive the development of the surrounding high-speed rail station area.

In addition, the developed biomedical park, can connect the city axis, attract high-tech talents, and realize an ecological green corridor.
