According to the latest report, Russia used the Soyuz 2.1b carrier rocket from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome to complete the Lotos-S1 n°06 launch mission and successfully launched the Lotos-S1 satellite, the sixth member of the Liana constellation system.

Moreover, Lotos S1 is a satellite designed for electronic intelligence missions, built by contractor KB Arsenal in cooperation with TsSKB Progress. The Lotos S1 satellite weighs about 6,000 kilograms and has two deployable solar panels.
The Lotos S1 satellite is part of Russia’s new generation of space-based reconnaissance and surveillance system Liana, which includes the electronic reconnaissance satellite Lotos S1 and the radar imaging satellite Pion-NKS. Lotos satellites will be used to replace the Tselina-2 series.
It is reported that Liana is able to detect and analyze radio signals from the ground and mobile devices, and the intercepted radio signals will be used to locate, characterize and target buildings, vehicles, and ships. The satellites may also be equipped with radio jammers, which could be used to block communications between Russian enemies.
