Samsung’s new 45W charger uses gallium nitride technology

Samsung’s new phone this year, the S22+/Ultra, supports 45W fast charging. The official also released a new 45W travel charger, priced at USD 47. According to the latest news from the charging head network, Samsung’s 45W travel charger EP-T4510 applies the third-generation semiconductor gallium nitride fast charging technology.

Moreover, Samsung’s official website did not mention that this charger uses gallium nitride technology. The official website parameters and specifications show that this charger supports Super Accelerated Charging 2.0 with a maximum of 45W and PD 3.0 PDO / PPS with a maximum of 45W. The size of this charger is 43.5 x 63.7 x 28 mm, with a UBS-C interface and a cable length of 1.8m.

According to the charging head network, Samsung’s 45W gallium nitride fast charging charger is manufactured by a Vietnamese foundry and has a custom GaNFast chip NV6014 built-in Nano-Micro Semiconductor.

Previously tested by the Gsmarena review team using Samsung’s original 45W and 25W chargers, the Galaxy S22+ reached 62% charge after 30 minutes on the 25W Samsung charger, and only 64% when using the 45W charger. The Samsung S22 Ultra reached 61% charge in 30 minutes with a 25W charger and 60% with a 45W charger.
