Win10 version 1909/20H2 needs to be upgraded as soon as possible: Microsoft

According to the latest report, Microsoft today issued a warning to users still running Windows 10 version 1909 or 20H2. Both versions will reach the end of service with the May 2022 Security Update on May 10.

Without technical support, these systems will be vulnerable to malicious attacks, so it is important for users to upgrade their systems in a timely manner, especially those connected to the Internet.

In a typical Windows 10 fashion, Windows Update will automatically initiate feature updates if Windows 10 Home and Unmanaged Enterprise devices are out of service within a few months. They can still choose a convenient time to reboot the device and complete the upgrade.

The latest version of Windows 10 is 21H2, which has been available since November last year. If users are forced to update their systems now, they can try to upgrade to 21H2 so they don’t have to worry about another major version upgrade before June 2023.

Moreover, users can also choose to upgrade to Windows 11, but it’s worth noting that not all PC hardware will be able to run Windows 11 due to new system requirements.
