Elon Musk offers to purchase Twitter in cash at $54.20 per share

According to the latest report, an updated 13D document shows that Tesla, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk proposed a price of $54.20 per share to buy Twitter for cash.

Affected by this news, Twitter US stocks rose sharply before the market. As of the press time, Twitter US stocks rose more than 11% before the market. According to the Forbes 2022 Global Billionaires List, Elon Musk ranks first with a fortune of $219 billion.

Earlier, the US Securities and Exchange Commission disclosed documents on April 4 that Tesla CEO Elon Musk held 73,486,938 shares of Twitter, equivalent to 9.2% of the company’s shares, becoming the single largest shareholder.
