Global mobile game revenue ranking in March 2022: Sensor Tower

The latest data from Sensor Tower shows that in March 2022, global mobile game players spent about 7 billion US dollars on the App Store and Google Play, a year-on-year decrease of 6.3%.

Among them, the United States is still the market with the highest mobile game revenue in the world, contributing 1.9 billion US dollars, accounting for 27.4% of the global total revenue.

Moreover, the Chinese iOS market ranked second, accounting for 19.2%; the Japanese market ranked third, accounting for about 19%.

The report pointed out that the highest-grossing mobile game in the world in March 2022 was Tencent’s “Honor of Kings”, which attracted about 272.4 million US dollars, an increase of 5.8% compared with March 2021, of which about 96.6% of the revenue came from China iOS Market.

In addition, Tencent’s “PUBG Mobile” (combined “Peace Elite” revenue) ranked second on the list with a revenue of US$199.8 million. Among them, about 56.4% of the revenue came from the Chinese iOS version of “Peace Elite”, and the US market accounted for 9.5%.

Furthermore, the other three games in the top five are Mihayou’s “Genshin Impact”, King’s “Candy Crush Saga” and “Roblox”.
