Generally speaking, AMD will launch the flagship X670 platform first and will launch the mainstream B650 platform after a period of time. AMD is now starting to test the B650 platform, which means X670 and B650 motherboards will likely be released at the same time.
Furthermore, AMD’s new B650 motherboard supports the Ryzen 7000 processor, and it is reported that it will only support DDR5 memory. Regarding AMD’s new generation of processors, the Ryzen 7000 will use the Zen4 architecture, code-named “Raphael”, and support DDR5 memory. The processor will use the 5nm architecture and will be available in the second half of 2022.
AMD CEO Su Zifeng confirmed that the Ryzen 7000 can achieve a full-core 5.0GHz, which means that its single-core maximum frequency will exceed 5GHz. In addition, AMD also confirmed that the new Ryzen 7000 desktop processor will use the LGA1718 interface.
