There are also some self-developed chips for external sales, including PON ONU chips (mainly used for optical fiber broadband access products) and mobile terminal chips.
It is reported that ZTE Microelectronics is a chip subsidiary of ZTE. Its main business is to focus on the three major terminals of fixed networks, mobile phones, and IPTV, and it has developed its own processor Xun Loongson LTE-A chip.
Unlike HiSilicon, which is completely controlled by Huawei, ZTE Microelectronics was formerly the IC Design Department established by ZTE in 1996 and became independent in 2003.
It has independently developed and successfully commercialized more than 100 chips, covering the fields of “bearer, access, and terminal” of communication networks, serving more than 160 companies worldwide. In many countries and regions, it has been rated as “China’s Top Ten Integrated Circuit Design Enterprises” for many years.
