Dell’s new Precision 7670 notebook may use custom DDR5 memory sticks

Dell is about to launch a new Precision 7670 mobile workstation, which was previously reported to be powered by Intel’s unreleased H55 processor. According to the latest news from Videocardz, this notebook will also use a new CAMM DDR5 memory module.

Moreover, this CAMM memory module is a new notebook DDR5 memory form factor with a specification of DDR5-4800 and a capacity of up to 128GB. One CAMM module will replace two SODIMM notebook memory modules, which will save space for other components.

In terms of configuration, Dell’s new mobile workstation will be equipped with Alder Lake-HX series processors, optional i5-12600HX to i9-12950HX, 55W basic power consumption, graphics cards optional NVIDIA RTX 3080 and RTX A5500 professional graphics cards, and Intel has not yet released DG2 independent display (A770M) is optional.

Moreover, the current Alder Lake-H has a maximum specification of 14 cores and 20 threads and a base power consumption of 45W. The new Alder Lake-HX is expected to have a maximum of 16 cores and 24 threads and a base power consumption of 55W. In addition, the nuclear display specification of the Alder Lake-HX series has been reduced from the original maximum of 96EU to 32EU.

  • i5-12600HX: 12 cores 16 threads, 2.8-4.6GHz, 18MB L3 cache
