Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass will support more Ubisoft game

Posted on

According to the latest report, Microsoft has announced that they are working with Ubisoft to bring some of the publisher’s games to the Xbox Game Pass subscription plan in the near future.

In addition to recently announcing what’s coming to Xbox Game Pass in the coming weeks, Microsoft also announced that two Ubisoft games will make their Game Pass debut via the Ubisoft Connect app.

“Assassin’s Creed: Origins” and “For Honor: Marching on Fire Edition” will be available to PC Game Pass subscribers “for the next two months.” Assassin’s Creed: Origins will also be available to Game Pass subscribers on console and cloud gaming.

Currently, Xbox and PC Game Pass subscribers only have access to a handful of Ubisoft-published games, such as Xtreme, Rainbow Six: Siege, and Rainbow Six: Xenomorphs. The latter two games joined Game Pass in January of this year, and it’s clear that the bulk subscription service for Ubisoft’s games could take quite some time to arrive.

“We’re working with Ubisoft to bring more incredible games to the Game Pass library,” Megan Spurr, head of the Xbox Game Pass community, said in a blog post, though it’s unclear if the two companies’ partnership will go beyond the two games above in order to continue to bring Ubisoft games to Xbox Game Pass.

In addition, Microsoft also announced the new XGP game lineup in April. The following is the specific list.

New games added in late April:

Added: “F1 2021” (cloud game) EA Play, “Need for Speed: Heat Pursuit Remastered” (cloud game) EA Play, “Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion” cloud game/console / PC.

April 26: 7 Days to Die Cloud Gaming/Console/PC, Research and Destroy Console/PC.

April 28: “Bugsnax” cloud game / console / PC, “Unsouled” console / PC.

Outgoing games:

April 30: “Cricket 19” cloud game/console/PC, “Escape 2” cloud game/console/PC, “Secret Neighbor” cloud game/console/PC, “Rage Fist 4” cloud game/console/PC.
