Moreover, Apple Maps enthusiast Justin O’Beirne said that this is the 14th time Apple has expanded new map data since it publicly released it in September 2018. Germany and Singapore are the 12th and 13th countries respectively to receive Apple’s new Maps data, and Singapore is the first country in Asia to receive it.

Furthermore, Apple’s new map data now covers 18.4% of the earth’s land area and 8.5% of the global population (the global population is about 673 million). According to Apple’s expansion model, the next regions to upgrade are likely to be France and Monaco.

Apple’s redesigned Maps app debuted in iOS 12. The updated Maps app provides faster and more accurate navigation, as well as more detailed views of roads, buildings, malls, sports fields, foliage, swimming pools, sidewalks, bodies of water, and more.
