The project has a budget of about 50 million euros and is mainly funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. It will be used to demonstrate the on-chip integration of photonic devices based on traditional semiconductor processes to form “photonic integrated circuits”.
Moreover, to operate qubits at room temperature to achieve chemical industry, large-scale computing in specific fields such as biomedicine and materials science, after the completion of technical verification, the relevant results will be further exported to the industry.
