Amazon Kindle Cloud Personal Document Service natively supported EPUB format

Posted on

For a long time, Amazon Personal Documents Service (Kindle Personal Documents Service) only supports pushing e-books in MOBI, PDF, HTML, TXT, and other formats, but does not support the common EPUB format with a large resource base, converting the format may cause some information to be lost.

Now, Amazon Kindle Cloud Personal Document Service can push native epub format files. The pushed epub will be converted to azw3 format and support custom fonts. However, like the previous push mobi, the cover page will not be displayed.

If there is a cover, enabling this feature will display the cover after the lock screen. At present, Amazon’s official help documents have not mentioned the instructions for pushing the epub format, and it is still uncertain whether there are other points that need attention.

Last September, Amazon released a new Kindle Paperwhite e-book product, the first updated Kindle Paperwhite model in nearly three years, adding a larger 6.8-inch E-Ink display, brighter, adjustable color temperature, and USB support -C charging, faster processor, and more battery life.

Moreover, the new Kindle Paperwhite has a similar design to the old model, with an embedded display, built-in backlight, 300PPI resolution, crisp text, and IPX8 water resistance.
