Lu Weibing’s Weibo seems to imply that the new Redmi Note series is about to debut. At present, the Redmi Note 12 series has obtained a network access license. There are two models, 22041216C and 22041216UC.
According to the previous naming convention of the Redmi Note series product line, the two models of the Redmi Note 12 series are expected to be named Redmi Note 12 and Redmi Note 12 Pro respectively.
Previously, @Digital Chat Station broke the news that the Redmi Note 12 series is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8000 flagship processor, which is a “reduced frequency version” of the MediaTek Dimensity 8100.
It is reported that the Dimensity 8000 is based on TSMC’s 5nm process and consists of four Cortex A78 large cores + four Cortex A55 small cores. In addition, the Redmi Note 12 series adopts a mid-hole-punch screen solution. It is not yet sure whether it is OLED or LCD. It is expected to support 67W super-fast charging.
