AMD may push RAMP memory overclocking technology
Earlier this year, it was reported that AMD will push RAMP memory overclocking technology to deal with Intel’s XMP 3.0 program.
According to the latest news from VideoCardz, the official name of AMD’s technology is EXPO (EXTended Profiles for Overclocking), which is an extended profile for overclocking.

Moreover, AMD’s EXPO technology will reportedly provide two memory overclocking profiles for DDR5 memory. The first profile will be optimized for high bandwidth usage, while the latter will be optimized for low latency.
Furthermore, AMD memory expert Joseph Tao also mentioned that the Ryzen 7000 platform will have good memory overclocking support. In the PPT of this conference, AMD and Samsung mentioned DDR5-6400 and LPDDR5X-8500 memory specifications, which may be supported by AMD’s new generation of desktop and mobile processors.
