Like many operating systems, Microsoft offers a bunch of default apps in its Windows 11, Windows 10, and other products. A new report from Oofhours sheds light on how big default apps are in Windows 11.

Moreover, using the query function provided by PowerShell, we were able to calculate the size of the default application of Windows 11. The apps are sorted by size (in bytes) in descending order, and you can see that Microsoft Teams is the largest app, taking up about 91MB of space.
However, the query just points to the XML file location, and some apps have another folder that requires additional size calculations. For example, Microsoft Store Purchase shows a size of 11KB, but the actual size is 37MB.
After checking each application listed, it is found that the default pre-installed application size of Windows 11 is about 1.6GB.
