According to the latest report, Sony released a new native 4K HDR laser projector VPL-XW7000, priced at USD 18297. There is also a slightly cheaper model VPL-XW5000, priced at USD 6861.

Moreover, two new native 4K SXRD laser home theater projectors feature native 4K SXRD panels (3840 x 2160) in a compact body design. The combination of new wide dynamic range optics and the TRILUMINOS PRO version enables high-quality 4K HDR images to be projected on large screens.

The picture processor is based on Sony’s BRAVIA TV series, using Sony’s upgraded X1 image processing technology designed for projectors, and has been optimized and improved to support unique features such as Dynamic HDR Enhancement and Dynamic Item-wise Super Resolution.

Featuring 3200 lumens of brightness and vivid color enhancement, the VPL-XW7000 also features a new high-definition focus (ACF) lens with an aspheric front element and a floating focus system for exceptional clarity.

Furthermore, the VPL-XW5000, another laser model in Sony’s line of home projectors, offers high contrast and resolution while consuming 30% less power per lumen. Additionally, it features dynamic item-by-item reshaping technology.

Officials say the new projector also features an input lag reduction mode, which greatly improves the display response speed to ensure that e-sports players have a better gaming experience while enjoying the clear images they expect. The new XW series supports 2K 120Hz input with a 13ms input delay.
