Samsung Galaxy Note 20 gets May 2022 security update in US

Samsung is sending the May 2022 Android security patch update for the carrier-locked Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphone customers in the US. Whereas, the carrier-unlocked models have already had their hand on the latest patch earlier this month itself.

Carrier-locked Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra May 2022 update comes with One UI build version N981USQS2FVE6 and N986USQS2FVE6 in the US, respectively. It is currently released for Sprint’s and T-Mobile’s network users and will soon be available for other customers.

Further, the fresh software update aims at improving the security and stability of your device. Additionally, it helps in preventing your phone from bugs and viruses to further boost the device’s performance and maintain users’ experience.As per the new information, the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 May 2022 update comes with multiple privacy and security-related issues and exploits. However, the official support page mentions fixes for 7 Critical, 23 High, and 3 Moderate levels of CVEs from Samsung and Google.

As soon as your phone will get a new software update it will notify you. In case you have not received any notification or missed it, you can go to Settings >> Software update >> Download and install to check the update manually. Now follow the mentioned prompts to install it on your device.
