The latest information reveals some key details that will arrive with the new split layout. It suggests that when Gboard will be set on the split keyboard for foldable devices, some of the keys will get duplicated on both sides. However, with the latest Gboard beta pack, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 users had installed the split keyboard layout for their device.
SPLIT KEYBOARD
When compared to the Standard keyboard, the split outline bisects the keys from the center into two halves. Moreover, it divides five keys into three rows on both sides. Further, users will find the G and V keys on both sides of the keyboard.
Moreover, users can find more suggestions for duplicate keys in the Settings > Preferences. Meanwhile, a long space bar fills the gap at the end of the board. For the moment, the feature is not live. Besides, the company has not thought of extending the feature to large screens. But the foldable smartphones will be the first ones to grab the feature.
