Voice recognition is an amazing feature, which is really helpful to get what you say and give on-point answers. But, sometimes the digital Assistant found issues and struggles with recognizing your frequent words and names.
Now, Google Assistant is working on a new feature called “Personalized Speech Recognition” to make better recognize your frequent words and names. As per the recent version of the Google App, personalized speech recognition will appear in Google Assistant settings.
Once the feature goes live, it allows you to store audio recordings on your smartphone to help Google Assistant to get better at recognizing what you say. The audio stays on this device and can be deleted at any time by turning off personalized speech recognition.
To be mentioned, when you turn off your personalized speech recognition, the Google Assistant throws a pop-up notification that reads: If you turn this off, your Assistant will be less accurate at recognizing names and other words that you say frequently. All audio used to improve speech recognition for you will be deleted from this device.
Furthermore, the Google Assistant is working pretty well on its upcoming feature and improving the machine learning-based over the ”Hey Google” to your actual Assistant commands. So, it could be an interesting feature and the user’s speech pattern could vastly improve the experience.
At the moment, this feature is uncovered in the APK teardown but there is a higher possibility to get the new Google Assistant feature within the next few months.
