Apple’s Photos app is equipped with a device intelligence that recognizes faces in your photos. Whenever you add names to the faces after that you can search photos by name. You can even mark your favorite contact.
Here’s how it works:
The app scans your photos in order to help you recognize the people, objects, or scenes located in the photos. It depends on the number of photos you have on your iPhone. You can have a memory movie of them as well. When you have iCloud Photos turned on, the people you marked favorite will stay updated across your Apple smartphone.
Follow the steps to add people to the photo album:
- Select a Photo
- Click the “i” button at the bottom of your screen
- Tap the Face of the person in the photo with a question mark at the bottom of the photo
- Put a Tag with the name and enter the person’s name
- Tap Done at the upper right corner

How to remove a person from your People Album
Removing a People Album is as easy as creating one. You can delete any in fact all the photos from your iPhone very effortlessly, but in case you want to keep the photos and just remove the album follow the steps given below.
Here’s how to do it:
- Click on Albums at the bottom
- Select the People Album
- Choose the person’s album you want to delete
- Tap the button with three dots
- From the list, select remove [Name] from people
