Google Pixel 7 / Pro, Pixel tablet camera specifications leaked ahead of launch

The camera sensors of Google’s Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, and Pixel tablets have been discovered, and Android revealer Kuba Wojciechowski discovered through code the camera hardware specifications that the next Pixel will use. For starting, Kuba points out that both the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will use the 11MP Samsung 3J1 as a front-facing sensor, while the Pixel 6 Pro uses a similarly specced Sony IMX663.

On the rear, both Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro devices will use the same Samsung GN1 main sensor and Sony IMX381 ultra-wide-angle as the previous generation, the difference is that this year’s Pro telephoto sensor is changed to Samsung GM1 instead of Sony IMX586, Both are similar in parameters.

The second is the image specifications of the Pixel tablet (codenamed Tangor), which is equipped with two Sony IMX355 sensors of 8MP in the front and the rear, which means that the Pixel tablet may not take the high-end route and will lack 4K recording, slow motion, and other functions.

Moreover, Kuba also discovered a new Pixel device codenamed “Lynx”. It is not clear what kind of device Lynx is, but Google has equipped it with the same Samsung GN1 main sensor as the Pixel 6 and 7 series. It is also equipped with Sony IMX787, and the front is equipped with Sony IMX712 (unreleased). It seems that the specifications are not low, and we can look forward to it.

Finally, Google will also have a folding screen device codenamed “Pipit” or “Passport” (P7), with a rear-mounted Samsung GN1, Sony IMX363, Sony IMX386, and a front-facing Sony IMX355 sensor (same as the Pixel 6).
