Shipment of electronic parts from Japanese factories is increasing: Report

The Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA) released statistics on July 29, pointing out that the global shipments of electronic parts from Japanese factories have grown again, and the shipments of capacitors have exceeded 100 billion yen for 21 consecutive months.

The report pointed out that although demand from China continued to shrink, due to the surge in demand from Europe and the United States, coupled with the depreciation of the Japanese yen, the global shipments of Japanese electronic parts factories in May 2022 increased by 7.8% from the same month last year to 343 billion. The Japanese yen has grown for the 20th time in 21 months, and monthly shipments have exceeded the 300 billion yen mark for the 21st consecutive month.

In terms of regional conditions, the shipments of electronic parts to Japan in May decreased by 0.3% to 64.5 billion yen from the same month last year; shipments to the Americas surged 28.8% to 40.6 billion yen; shipments to Europe Value surged 16.2% to 37.4 billion yen; shipments to the Chinese market, which is a cluster of electronic machine assembly plants such as smartphones, fell 1.3% to 121.5 billion yen; shipments to the rest of Asia surged 18.8% to 78.9 billion days Yuan.

Major Japanese electronic parts factories include Kyocera, TDK, Nidec, Hitachi Metals, Nitto Denko, Alps Alpine, Murata Mfg, Taiyo Yuden (Taiyo Yuden) et al.
