It is reported that Samsung Electronics has formed a special working group to promote the introduction of unmanned factories in July. Its main business is to establish a system for 100% automated machines to start production projects and to check the possibility of its realization.

Their goal is to unmanned major global production sites as soon as 2030. However, the company aims to reduce the hiring of production staff but increase manpower in semiconductor businesses such as memory and system-on-a-chip, as well as artificial intelligence and software. Artificial intelligence and software manpower are seen as beneficial to its overall business.
