Apple stores get new diagnostic tool for iPhones with unexpected restart problems
Apple Store and Apple Authorized Service Providers have obtained a new tool that can determine whether a user’s iPhone restarts unexpectedly.
When users with iPhone 11 and above say their device restarts unexpectedly, Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Service Providers can run a new ” System Stability ” diagnostic tool that will evaluate the device, MacRumors reports to analyze the logs to determine if there have been multiple unexpected restarts in the past 14 days.

According to an internal memo obtained by the source, Apple will advise technicians to proceed with hardware repairs if the diagnosis determines that an unexpected restart has occurred.
If the diagnosis does not cause an unexpected restart, Apple recommends that technicians direct users to a new support document containing hardware and software troubleshooting tips.
Compared to existing methods, the new diagnostic tool gives technicians a faster way to determine if a user’s iPhone has restarted unexpectedly without having to manually review logs. The new “System Stability” diagnostic suite is part of Apple’s Service Toolkit 2, the report said.
