In 2021, Huawei Technologies filed a patent with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). The document, titled “Aperture, Camera Module, and Electronics,” was published on August 19, 2021, and details how Huawei intends to equip future smartphone cameras with variable apertures.
Huawei seems to want to apply aperture blade technology to adjust the incoming light in the camera. The patent shows that Huawei uses at least 6 aperture blades that can slide over each other to form a larger aperture. By using a diaphragm, the amount of light reaching the camera can be adjusted.
In addition, the blogger also said that the Huawei Mate 50 Pro is equipped with a 15x telephoto macro, and the Huawei Mate 50 RS supports a 35x telephoto macro. The bangs of the Mate 50 Pro are longer, which may support more functions.
