Before the release, data analysis agency Omdia said that Samsung will ship 11 million Galaxy Z Fold 4 / Flip 4 folding screen phones by the end of this year. Although this shipment is more than 50% higher than last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 3 / Flip 3 shipments, it still falls short of Samsung’s internal shipment target of 15 million units.
In addition, Omdia said that as long as the Galaxy Z Fold 4 / Flip 4 folding screen mobile phone shipments exceed 10 million units, it means that Samsung has successfully filled the market left by the Samsung Note series with folding screen mobile phones.
At present, Samsung itself also has folding screen products such as Galaxy Z Fold 3 / Flip 3 on sale. Omdia expects that with these folding screen products, Samsung will ship 13 million folding screen phones by the end of this year.
Samsung said on July 20 that global shipments of folding screen mobile phones will be nearly 10 million in 2021, and folding screen mobile phones have become a choice for modern lifestyles.
