The revealer previously broke the news that the Xiaomi MIX FOLD 2 folding screen is equipped with dual 120Hz screens, of which the inner screen is Samsung Eco² OLED. With the arrival of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, Samsung Display officially brought out the latest Eco² OLED Plus and UPC Plus technologies.

At Korea’s largest display exhibition “K-Display 2022”, Samsung Display released next-generation self-luminous display products, such as Eco² OLED Plus, Life Style, small and medium OLED, large QD-OLED, and more.

According to reports, Eco² OLED is a technology that prevents external light reflection and increases light transmittance by changing the panel stack structure instead of polarizers. The Eco² OLED Plus is an improvement over last year’s Eco² OLED, which is primarily a non-polarized low-power technology.

Compared with ordinary OLED, the new display panel can reduce power consumption by 37% and increase light transmittance by 160%. This upgrade is a technology that further reduces power consumption and improves clarity, and has been applied to the Galaxy Z Fold 4.

Furthermore, UPC Plus is an innovative technology. Samsung said that this technology can truly achieve a full screen by eliminating the camera hole on the display panel, and the perceived resolution is 1.4 times higher than the previous “Galaxy Z Fold 3”.

In addition to this, Samsung also introduced Diamond Pixel Zone technology, an eco-friendly technology that reduces the use of plastic parts and reduces power consumption.
