According to the latest report, Apple plans to hold its first autumn conference event on Wednesday, September 7. The event will focus on the release of the iPhone 14 series models and the Apple Watch Series 8. The standard iPhone 14 model is expected to be almost unchanged, but the iPhone 14 Pro model will include updated camera technology, the removal of the notch, and the replacement of the “pill + single punch hole”, the A16 chip, and more.

Apple plans to release a total of four iPhone 14 series models, including the 6.1-inch iPhone 14, 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max, 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro, and 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max. It’s worth noting that there won’t be a new 5.4-inch “iPhone 14 mini” release as the iPhone 12 mini and 13 mini devices aren’t selling as well as expected.

The leaks show that Apple has three Apple Watches in development, including the new Apple Watch Series 8, the updated Apple Watch SE 2, and the new Apple Watch Pro version (expected to have a larger body, updated design, and more rugged version).

Apple is also planning a new entry-level iPad 10, updated iPad Pro models, a Mac Pro with Apple Silicon chips, and more, but those devices will likely be reserved for the second event in October. Apple usually sends out an official invitation letter about a week before the launch event, so this time it may release a preview at the end of August.

Sources say Apple is already preparing pre-recorded events, suggesting it will once again be live-streamed virtually instead of offline. Of course, Apple may also invite a small number of members of the media to participate in offline meetings. Gurman said that Apple has told some Apple Store employees to prepare for a new product launch on Friday, September 16, suggesting that new iPhone and Apple Watch models could be available on that date.
