Recently, BMW M officially released a video showing the appearance of the BMW M pure electric prototype car, which is based on the BMW i4 M50. According to Carscoops, the prototype is equipped with an all-new four-motor powertrain and a new M xDrive all-wheel-drive control system.
Judging from the spy photos released, the BMW M pure electric prototype still uses the iconic grille, and the body is wider than the BMW M3. The grille and bumper air intakes of the prototype are not closed, which can provide better heat dissipation for the vehicle’s battery pack and braking system.

In terms of power, the prototype is equipped with a four-motor power system and integrates the new M xDrive four-wheel drive control system. Each wheel is individually controlled by the central processor according to the calculation results. The car’s suspension system has also been revised to bring higher torque stiffness.
Dirk Hcker, Head of Development at BMW M GmbH, said: “Electrification opens up new degrees of freedom for our M powertrains. We will make the most of this potential so that our sports cars will continue to offer the classic high performance of the M series on a zero-emission basis. , flexibility and handling.”
BMW did not disclose the specific power of the prototype, but the dual motors of the BMW i4 M50 can generate 536 horsepower and 795 Nm of torque. It is believed that the comprehensive power of the four-motor power system will be stronger.
BMW also mentioned that its goal is to preserve the “emotional driving experience” in future zero-emission pure electric sports cars and provide users with “unprecedented levels of performance.”
