Amazon will shut down telemedicine service care: Report
Amazon closed the telemedicine service Care (Amazon Care), which shows that Amazon’s entry into the health care industry has suffered a setback. Amazon will shut down the service after Dec. 31, mainly because Amazon doesn’t think Care is a long-term solution for enterprise customers.

Care launched in 2019 as a pilot program for Amazon employees in and around Seattle headquarters. Care offers virtual urgent care services, free telehealth services, paid nurse visits, and vaccinations. Later, Amazon began offering Care services to Amazon employees and employees of other companies across the United States.
Although Amazon CEO Andy Jassy is still obsessed with the health care industry, the company decided to shut down the Care service. Last month, Amazon bought healthcare provider One Medical for $3.9 billion, and Amazon also wants to develop technology for home medical diagnostics. Earlier this week, media reports said Amazon was interested in bidding for Signify Health, a provider of home health services.
