For the past two years, there have been rumors that Google will launch a Pixel foldable phone, and the device may be named Pixel Notepad. Today, a patent from Google further confirms the news.
According to 91mobiles, Google applied to WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) in June this year for a patent related to a folding screen, which was published today. As can be seen from the patent image, the design of the Pixel Notepad folding screen phone is similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold, which adopts a horizontal inward folding scheme.

However, in the patent image, the frame of the Google Pixel Notepad folding screen phone is wider, and the real device should be better. In addition, the folding screen phone in the patent places the selfie camera in the upper bezel instead of the under-screen camera design like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4. The patent suggests that there will be a camera with an aperture in the bezel of the flexible screen.
On August 5, digital blogger @Digital Chat Station revealed that the rear module of the Google Pixel folding screen engineering machine is similar to the Google Pixel 7, and the front is a bit like OPPO Find N. The device will adopt a relatively small-sized large screen with a horizontal inward folding design.
The outer screen will be a single punch hole in the center, the inner screen will be a full screen without holes, and an ultra-micro hole camera will be installed on the frame of the inner screen. The blogger’s revelation is consistent with the patent revealed this time, and the credibility is high.
According to previous reports, the Google Pixel Notepad folding screen phone will use a 5.8-inch external screen with a short and wide body. In terms of imaging, the device will be fitted with a 12.2-megapixel IMX363 main camera, a 12-megapixel IMX386 sub-camera, and two 8-megapixel IMX355 selfie cameras.
