Google added a feature to lock incognito tabs

Google began adding the “Privacy Screen” function to the Google app on Apple’s iOS. Users can set the app to undergo face authentication or fingerprint recognition before opening the app. Recently, Google has added similar new features to the Chrome browser on Android.

According to a report from 9to5Google, on the Chrome browser on the Android side, Google has added the ability to lock incognito tabs. When a user opens incognito tabs and leaves Chrome, Chrome locks those incognito tabs. If users want to re-open these incognito tabs, they must pass fingerprint identification or password authentication.

Beneath the Unlock Incognito tab, there is an option to open other tabs, which means that this feature can effectively protect personal privacy without delaying normal use of the browser. It has been told that the Google Chrome browser has not yet officially launched this feature. But users can re-enable this feature by visiting the “chrome://flags/#incognito-reauthentication-for-android” page. If users wish to turn off this feature, they can turn it off in the Settings – Security & Privacy – Lock Incognito tab.
