On September 19th, yesterday evening, a GTAForums user named “teapotuberhacker” released over 90 game clips suspicious of “GTA 6”, causing a sensation in the game industry. Now the hacker is trying to compete with “GTA 6“. An agreement was reached between the publisher of Rockstar Games and its parent company, Take-Two Interactive.

According to reports, the hacker leaked to GTAForums.com when forum user teapotuberhacker (who created his account on the same day and claimed to be from the UAE) posted a message that read: “Here are 90 GTA 6 gameplay clips. / There are clips I can see more data leaking soon, including GTA5 and GTA6 content and source code, and GTA 6 beta games.” The link to these files, which the hackers claimed to have obtained from the GTA6 development team’s Slack employee communication program, has been removed.
Since then, teapotuberhacker has continued to post on the forum, posting a link to a New York Times article about the hack of Uber’s computer systems and claiming responsibility for the cybersecurity breach; More than a dozen photos of “GTA5” have been released sharing screenshots of GTA 6 and the source code of Uber’s computer system and called GTA 6. The forum site’s administrator or moderator has since temporarily restricted the posting rights of new members.
The hacker later edited the post to say that he did not expect the leak to be so popular, and attached his Telegram and email contact information shouting to Rockstar that he was hoping to reach an agreement with them.
Rockstar hasn’t officially acknowledged the leaked content, but there are reports that Take-Two has started issuing requests to some social media to remove the leaked content.
