Ford suspends shipment of some vehicles due to lack of badges

According to the latest report, affected by the supply chain, Ford delayed the delivery of some vehicles because these vehicles were not equipped with blue oval badges. Sources said Ford has encountered supply constraints on brand identity and nameplates that indicate models.

These two parts are installed in the body of the car and are important symbols of Ford’s products. Ford spokesperson confirmed that the company has suspended shipments of some vehicles due to the lack of badges.

In addition, sources say supply shortages are affecting Ford’s popular F-Series pickups. Ford executives have considered workarounds, such as 3D printing the logos before getting permanent badges, but they felt the printed replacements were substandard in quality, sources said. Ford declined to comment on the 3D printing proposal.

A few months ago, Ford signed a preliminary agreement with Lake Resources NL to buy lithium at a plant in Argentina, the first time the automaker has publicly announced it will purchase materials for electric vehicle batteries.
