In addition to producing the Model Y, Tesla’s Gigafactory in Austin also produces batteries. In late July, some sources reported that the first batch of 4680 batteries had been produced by the Texas Gigafactory. The latest reports show that Tesla’s Texas Gigafactory battery capacity will accelerate, and the increase will be faster than they plan.

Moreover, Tesla originally planned to increase the battery production capacity of the two super factories in Berlin and Texas at the same speed, but they have informed officials in Glenhead, where the Berlin super factory is located, that they intend to quickly increase battery capacity at the Texas Gigafactory at the planned rate.

In the report that Tesla will accelerate the increase in the production capacity of batteries in the Texas Gigafactory, and will transfer some of the resources originally used for the production of batteries in the Berlin Gigafactory to the Texas Gigafactory.

Although Tesla has informed Glenhead officials that they will accelerate the increase in battery capacity at the Texas Gigafactory and may divert some of the resources originally planned for the Berlin Gigafactory, Tesla has also informed Glenhead German officials still plan to build a battery factory in Glenhead.
