YouTube is now adding more features to users with Premium subscriptions. YouTube Premium comes without ads, background playback (Picture-in-Picture), and offline download features.

Just like Google Meet live sharing feature that allows all meeting participants to interact with the content that’s being shared including YouTube, Spotify, and some games.

iOS users will soon get a similar feature using FaceTime with YouTube Premium adding SharePlay support over the coming weeks. This feature is already available on a handful of apps, which was first announced with iOS 15.1+.

The enhanced bitrate version of 1080p HD quality is also coming to YouTube on iOS for better details and motion. The 1080p Premium feature is rolling out over the coming weeks, next to the web version. You can expect the feature for Android in near future.

There’s one useful “Continue watching” prompt coming to the Premium users. It will remind you with a prompt in the bottom right corner to continue watching the last unfinished video when you open youtube.com. This feature is already available on Android, iOS, and the web.

In addition, the Premium users will be able to queue videos on phones and tablets. YouTube is making official Smart Downloads that automatically store recommended videos for offline viewing.
