Google Pixel Fold could use a new M13 OLED display, Galaxy Z Fold 5 and iPhone 15 won’t get

We all know that Google is working on Pixel Fold devices. A new report suggests Google could be the first phone to use a new advanced display M13 material, which may beat Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold5 and Apple’s iPhone 15.

According to the Korean publisher The Elec, Google’s Pixel Fold phone will use a display made by Samsung Display. The report added that the Pixel Fold may use Samsung Display’s M13 materials for its flexible display.

The surprising point in the report; Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold5, Flip5, and the entire iPhone 15 series will use the older M12 technology, reported The Elec. Samsung used the M12 material with the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Flip4, and Apple used the same on the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max.

The South Korean company will use the M13 tech in the future but not likely with the next Foldable devices. The M13 display could bring an incremental upgrade in the contrast, brightness, and refresh rate of the OLED screen.

Further, the first foldable phone by Google could come in the second half of 2023. Some previous rumors claimed that the device may come in mid-June. You can expect more information at Google I/O.
