Samsung Galaxy S22 devices gets second April 2023 update

Some Galaxy device owners are still waiting to receive the April 2023 Android security patch in their respective countries. Whereas, the Samsung Galaxy S22 smartphone users have now started receiving the April 2023 major update for the second time with lots of new camera features and advancements.

At the start of the month, the Korean tech giant seeded the Galaxy S22 series with the April 2023 update which brings the Image Clipper feature of the recently launched Galaxy S23 series, to the S22 devices, in order to take the experience to a new level. Notably, the feature was limited to some countries.

Now, the company has released the second April 2023 update with the motive to expand the latest features and optimizations of the camera and gallery application to all the owners of Samsung Galaxy S22 devices. However, the update is currently rolling out in Brazil and may expand to more markets in the coming days.

Talking about the offering, the latest update will add several new features and optimizations in the camera and gallery application of your Galaxy S22 devices, such as the new Image clipper feature to extract a subject from an image and separate it from its background and the ability to quickly delete photos that are processed by the camera right after they’ve been taken.

It further optimizes the video mode and you will now enjoy a more improved sharpness/flicker when shooting ultrawide in low light indoors. Additionally, the update also brings fixes for several issues like green lines, banding noise, blurring, malfunction when Scene optimization is off, Super Steady function, third-party video calls, and more.

Not only this, but the update will also work to protect your device from harmful threats and improve its core mechanism. Moving on, it will also enhance the security and stability of the system and make it more reliable. Simultaneously, users may also notice uplifted operations of some stock applications, as the changelog also mentions upgrades for the apps.

However, the update is rolling out gradually in Brazil, and you can check for it manually. To do so, visit the settings of your phone and then tap on the Software and Update section, and now let the system find out the latest version for you. Once done, click on the Download and Install button and follow the on-screen instructions.
