Despite a newly launched device, Apple iPhone 15 users are dealing with the BMW wireless charging issue and here is how you can give it a quick fix before the tech giant drops a solution with an iOS update.
To those who are unaware, Apple iPhone 15 users reported that the NFC chip no longer works after charging the device via a BMW wireless charging pad. On the flip side, the device goes into a data recovery mode flashing a white screen and the NFC chip remains stagnant even after the reboot.
Notably, this issue shows a ‘Could Not Set Up Apple Pay’ error message and limits users from accessing the Wallet app.
How to fix the Apple iPhone 15 BMW wireless charging issue?
The good news is that Apple has finally responded on this matter and said that it will address this issue with an update coming later this year. By that time, you can opt for these tips:
- Affected customers should stop using in-car wireless charging
- Visit an Apple Customer Service Center where technicians can attempt to restart the NFC chip in an affected iPhone by using a software tool part of the Apple Service Toolkit.
- Apple further advises technicians to initiate a hardware repair.
