Posted on

Google continues to implement impressive features to Android that enable a productive experience for users and the latest additions include a new Auto-Archive apps capability. Consequently, it is an effective way to save storage space on your phone by simply turning on a toggle in the Play Store settings.

Yes, the Auto-Archive option is gradually rolling out to every user. As the name reflects, the feature utilizes the Android space and automatically archives applications that you rarely use to free up some area when your storage runs low.

How to enable Android Auto-Archive apps feature?

  • Open the Google Play Store
  • Tap on the profile avatar
  • Go to the Settings > General
  • Select the Automatically Archive app

Once your Android phone starts archiving apps, you will see those apps listed under an ‘archived’ filter of your app library in the Google Play Store.
