Google Photos is getting a new and helpful feature in the form of a Photo Stack that aims to provide a neat look to your library. As the name reflects, the useful capability will arrange similar-looking pictures in their respective piles in the application.
How the Photo Stack feature in Google Photos will be helpful?
In the current scenario, Google Photos groups single snaps on the gallery side-by-side. Though users can change the size of these pictures using the zoom gesture, they cannot merge them into smaller sections beyond the same-date category.
Despite the similarity, the application arranges these photos next to others instead of grouping them into one pile. However, the new Photo Stack feature will organize these images in a better manner so that your Album library not only looks clean but is also convenient to use. It will group similar photos that were taken together.
How to access it?
The feature is still in the development stage, appearing in the Google Photos version 59, and will take some days to roll out for users. In terms of accessing, you can follow the given steps once it is available to your device:
- Open Google Photos
- Go to Settings > Preference Screen
- Turn on the toggle of the Photo Stack
