Google is bringing a bunch of AI features to its native Maps application and one of them is the AI-powered Lens. With this implementation, the company aims to simplify the surroundings and relevant details for users as soon as they reach somewhere.
According to the official blog, AI Lens in Google Maps (formerly called Search with Live View) uses AI and augmented reality to help you quickly adjust and adapt yourself — whether you’re navigating a new city or discovering local hidden gems.
How to use the new AI Len in Google Maps?
Open Google Maps and simply tap on the Lens icon in the search bar. Lift your phone to find information about nearby ATMs, transit stations, restaurants, coffee shops, and stores.
Note that the feature has just started rolling out and will take some time to reach your region. Meanwhile, ensure that you are running the latest version of Google Maps.
