Threads has started rolling out an all-new GIF picker and polls feature which is not only easy to access but glorifies the overall app experience for users. Meta is providing more significant features to its new social media app to take over its rival – X (Twitter).
In-app GIF picker
Powered by GIPHY, the in-app GIF picker is live for all new posts and replies. The option is available with the latest app update for both Android and iOS device users. Eventually, it lets you express yourself more lively using small animations or low-resolution video clips.
Polls feature in Threads
Just like Instagram, Threads also has the Polls feature that works just like you’d expect. While creating a new post, users can add up to four poll choices and can use it for 24 hours. Although this facility is only available on mobile versions and not on the web.
How to access the GIF picker and polls feature in Threads?
- Open the Threads app on your Android or iOS phone
- Head towards the ‘New thread’ tab
- Here you will find two new options as GIFs and Polls below the ‘Start a thread’ bar
Note: Due to these new additions, Threads is blocking Android’s GIF insertion from Gboard. A prompt appears saying that Threads doesn’t support the functionality.
