YouTube has recently gained a new feature in the form of ambient mode which turns on a new look to your video player and pushes off elegant colors to the black edges of the screen. While it’s a good makeover for the video-streaming app, the ambient colors often become distracting.
In an attempt to eliminate the dull black edges, YouTube tried to implement the ambient feature flashing amazing colors. However, it is a little more deflecting than the black bars. Don’t worry as here’s how you can get rid of these shades.
How to turn off ambient mode on YouTube?
- Open the YouTube application
- When watching a video, tap the settings icon at the corner
- Select Additional settings
- Turn off the Ambient Mode toggle
