Google Pixel 7 and newer models support several AI features along with the useful Voice Message Transcription capability. From the name, it transcribes automatically audio messages sent via Google Messages. Perhaps, this feature is quite helpful for moments when you’re unable to listen to the actual audio message.
Besides, it displays a transcript of the message above the audio clip that you can collapse and expand. The feature can work with SMS, MMS, and RCS conversations with a handful of language support.
How to use Voice Message Transcription on your Google Pixel phone?
- Visit the Google Messages app
- Navigate to the settings option
- Supportive Pixel handsets will show the Voice Message Transcription. Select this option
- Turn on the toggle for this option
And it’s done! Now when you receive an audio message, you’ll automatically receive a transcription of the audio along with it. Note that this description will remain hidden by default, but you can view the text by tapping it and collapse it by tapping “Hide.”
