Google never forgets to introduce amazing functions for its Pixel devices and one of them is the Android Car Crash Detection feature that enable an extra layer of safety around users. From the name, the respective capability detects when you meet a car accident using your phone’s location, motion sensor, and audio sensors.
It further triggers the process of calling emergency services if you can’t move to do it by yourself. In simple terms, if your phone knows that you’re on a road, it will detect a sudden change in motion and the sound of a car crash, and initiate a call to emergency services.
How to enable the Android Car Crash Detection feature on your Pixel phone?
- Open the Personal Safety app
- Tap on the Cog icon and navigate to settings
- Scroll down and select Car Crash Detection
- Turn on the toggle
